A brief history on Riverview Orchard and how I got here…

Back in the 1980’s, Hendrik Feenstra, founded and created the Riverview Orchard product line of Nut Butters. His emphasis on using quality, organic nuts to create his unmatched butter has given him a great reputation throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding areas. His products can be found at various grocers including but not limited to… Rainbow Grocery Cooperative, Berkley Bowl, Monterey Market, Davis Co-Op, and a small farmstand in Placerville, CA 24Carrot Farm (which is where I came into the picture).

In 2019, while I was working at 24Carrot farm I was instructed (by a die-hard fan of the almond hazelnut butter) to reach out Riverview Orchard to see if I could carry these products at the farmstand. And so, I reached out to Hendrik. Within a couple of weeks I was set to meet Hendrik in the parking lot of the Sacramento Natural Food Co-Op and exchange money for a trunk-load of almonds and butters. Hendrik and I had an instant connection (if you’ve ever had the pleasure of speaking with Hendrik you know that he is easy to get along with, and a very kind man). Over the years, we would meet multiple times and engage in lengthy discussions (we had many common grounds to go back and forth), sharing our struggles and successes of working in the farming industry. On one of our visits in 2022, Hendrik expressed to me that he was seeking someone to continue the legacy that is Riverview Orchard Almond Butters and asked me if I would be interested…this was an easy “yes” from me and so, my part in this story began.

I have been working closely with Hendrik since March 2022 to transition the business and keep the quality as supreme as it has been. My hope, through this website, is that I can make these products more accessible to you. Whether you have moved away from the location where you used to buy it, or simply, you prefer home delivery, I am thrilled to be sending you this product.
