Hi! I'm Alison
I founded Alison’s Organics in 2022 to carry on Riverview Orchard Nut Butters. Riverview began in 1980 and built a loyal following in independent and cooperatively owned grocers around the San Francisco Bay Area. You may know the jars from Rainbow Grocery, Berkeley Bowl, Monterey Market, Bi-Rite or Farmer Joes, where they’ve been on the shelves for decades.
For two years, I traveled to Orland, CA every week to work with Riverview’s founder, Hendrik Feenstra, and learn how to make the butters just as he did. I now make them in a kitchen in Diamond Springs, CA, in my local community.
I use organic California almonds and organic Oregon hazelnuts. The farms I work with are certified organic and use sustainable and regenerative practices.
